Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was fatally shot by an ICE agent on Jan. 7.

Ken Jennings has shared a series of blunt political messages on social media following the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis mother by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent earlier this week.

The Jeopardy! host, 51, posted multiple messages on Bluesky on Wednesday, Jan. 7, hours after news broke that Renee Nicole Good had been killed during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis.

“It’s been a dark week, but I just saw someone reply to an ‘Abolish ICE’ post with a scoldy Bluesky ‘Uh, try abolish DHS’ and that joy will sustain me for a little while,” Jennings wrote.

In another post, he added, “The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028.”

Representatives for Jennings did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Jennings also noted elsewhere that he had “been a-blockin’ and a-mutin’ all afternoon,” and offered encouragement to followers who were feeling “anxious and sad about the state of the world.”

On Thursday, Jan. 8, Jennings reposted a message identifying the ICE agent involved in the shooting as Jonathan Ross. The post linked to a report from the Minnesota Star Tribune, which noted Ross had previously been dragged by a fleeing driver in a separate incident last year, according to court records.

Good was fatally shot Wednesday morning after ICE agents attempted to open her vehicle during an enforcement operation in Minneapolis, an area with the largest Somali immigrant population in the U.S. Video footage shows Good reversing her Honda Pilot before moving forward, at which point an agent fired through the windshield and again through an open window, striking her. She later died from gunshot wounds.

According to the Associated Press, Good had been returning home after dropping off her 6-year-old son at school. Her ex-husband told the outlet that she was not politically active and had not previously participated in protests.

Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez described Good as a U.S. citizen who was “an observer … watching out for our immigrant neighbors,” according to ABC News.

In a statement posted on X, the Department of Homeland Security alleged that Good “weaponized her vehicle” and characterized the incident as an act of “domestic terrorism.”

Vice President JD Vance echoed that claim, stating that Good was part of a “broader left-wing network” targeting ICE agents and called her death “a tragedy of her own making.”

The shooting remains under investigation.
