Schade Returns as Brentford Make Six Changes for Manchester City Clash

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews has made six changes to his starting lineup for tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The match kicks off at 7.30pm GMT and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Kevin Schade returns to the starting XI, alongside Hákon Valdimarsson, Kristoffer Ajer, Rico Henry, Yehor Yarmoliuk and Mikkel Damsgaard, all of whom come into the side following Brentford’s 1–1 draw with Leeds United over the weekend.

Brentford have enjoyed a strong run in this season’s Carabao Cup, having already beaten Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Grimsby Town to reach the quarter-final stage. Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, progressed by defeating Huddersfield Town and Swansea City.

Caoimhín Kelleher, Aaron Hickey and Keane Lewis-Potter drop to the bench after starting against Leeds. Jordan Henderson, Dango Ouattara, who is away at the Africa Cup of Nations, and Igor Thiago are not included in the matchday squad.

Several young players have also been named among the substitutes, including Myles Peart-Harris, Yunus Emre Konak, Romelle Donovan, Benjamin Arthur and Gustavo Nunes.
