As deadline day looms, the focus shifts to players looking for a move—or being pushed toward one. Chelsea’s squad is overloaded, and the club is actively trying to offload several players. Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku headline a group of eight who the Blues want gone. Bayern Munich are open to taking Nkunku on loan, but Chelsea prefer a permanent exit.
Fulham are interested in Sterling, seeing him as a possible “Willian-style” signing as Marco Silva works his usual rebuild. As for Newcastle, any move for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa is off the table for now. Brentford say they won’t sell until they’ve signed a replacement. Newcastle are still on the hunt for someone to cover for the injured Alexander Isak.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund want to take Manchester City youngster Claudio Echeverri on loan. The Argentine midfielder featured in last season’s FA Cup final while Jack Grealish sat on the bench. City also plan to send new signing Sverre Nypan out on loan to Middlesbrough.
