Sean “Diddy” Combs has sold his custom matte black Gulfstream private jet roughly six months after being convicted on federal prostitution-related charges, according to aviation records and industry confirmation.

The aircraft, a Gulfstream G550 manufactured in 2015, changed ownership in October, ending Combs’ association with the jet he was frequently seen using prior to his arrest. The plane had been owned through Combs’ business entity, LoveAir LLC.

A private aviation company that previously handled charter operations for the jet confirmed that its management relationship concluded in October following the sale. Federal Aviation Administration records show that the aircraft’s former U.S. tail number is no longer registered to Combs’ company. The jet has since been re-registered internationally under a new tail number, indicating ownership outside the United States.

The final sale price has not been disclosed. Comparable Gulfstream G550 models typically sell for between $15 million and $30 million, depending on configuration and condition.

A Jet Closely Linked to Combs’ Public Image

The aircraft was known for its distinctive matte black exterior and beige interior. It was configured to seat up to 14 passengers and featured luxury amenities, including an onboard entertainment system. The jet was also marketed as pet-friendly.

In the months leading up to his arrest, Combs was repeatedly photographed boarding the plane at airports across the country. During federal law enforcement searches of his properties in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024, flight tracking data showed the jet traveling from California to the Caribbean.

Later that summer, Combs shared a video on social media showing himself walking toward the jet, filming from a first-person perspective as he boarded. The video ended with him describing the aircraft as feeling like home.

Legal Fallout and Sentencing

In July, Combs was convicted on two federal charges related to prostitution offenses. He was sentenced to 50 months in prison, though credit for time already served is expected to reduce his remaining incarceration to approximately three years.

In addition to the prison sentence, the court imposed five years of supervised release and ordered Combs to pay a $500,000 fine, the maximum allowed under the statute.

During sentencing, Combs appeared subdued in court. He issued an apology to former partners, friends, and family members, describing his conduct as shameful and unacceptable. He also expressed regret toward his children and his mother, stating that he had failed them.

A Shift in Circumstances

The sale of the jet marks a significant change for the once high-profile music and media executive, whose luxury lifestyle — including private air travel — had long been part of his public image.

Combs remains incarcerated as he begins serving his sentence. His legal team has not publicly commented on the aircraft sale.
